Description:
It is an antispasmodic, relieves digestive pain in children, is anti-flatulent, and allows gas to be expelled easily.
How to use it:
- Infants (less than 2 years): Half a dropper (½ ml or approximately 10 drops) equivalent to 20 mg of simethicone four times a day after meals and at bedtime.
- Children (2-12 years): One dropper (1 ml or approximately 20 drops) is equivalent to 40 mg of simethicone four times a day after meals and at bedtime.
- For diagnostic purposes (endoscopic (using an endoscope), radiological, or ultrasound examinations), the drops are given as follows: 50 drops 3-4 times a day on the two days prior, and 50 drops on an empty stomach on the morning of the examination and immediately before the investigation.
- For infants and children, exceeding 240 mg/day is not recommended except under the supervision and guidance of a physician.
- Doses may be changed in special circumstances, so always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
- If you are taking more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
How to store simethicone:
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store below 30 degrees Celsius.
Do not use after the expiry date printed on the label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
You can use chamomile and lavender tea granules to relieve bloating and expel gas in children.
