Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that works by reducing the production of stomach acid. Pantoprazole is an over-the-counter medication used in adults to treat heartburn that occurs two or more times a week.
- It is used to treat stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and erosive esophagitis.
How to use:
• Usual dose: One tablet daily before meals
• The dosage can be adjusted according to the medical condition and after consulting a doctor.
• The tablet should be swallowed whole without chewing or crushing.
Warnings and precautions:
• Use with caution in cases of liver disease or magnesium deficiency.
• May increase the risk of bone fractures with prolonged use
